The challenge
The main challenge involved developing a control device that met strict healthcare and ergonomic standards. An intuitive design for medical staff was required, featuring easy-to-sterilize surfaces and a button and joystick layout minimizing fatigue during prolonged procedures, ensuring precise tactile feedback.
The solution
A user-centered product engineering process was carried out (healthcare staff). The solution included the design of an ergonomic housing molded from biocompatible polymers, the integration of high-reliability control components, and the optimization of internal anchors to guarantee the device's robustness in the hospital environment.
